When was the last time you looked forward for the next morning? Was it last Christmas, Thanksgiving, your birthday, first day of school? What if every night before you went to sleep you had the same feeling of excitement and energy for tomorrow?
Being in this line of work of health and fitness for a little over 15 years I have been fortunate enough to observe the habits of many who have reached their goals and many that yet have found their groove. Some of these habits were there already but many were created over the course of their health journey.
What I have learned over the years to achieving optimal health, mental strength, and happiness are a byproduct of a few simple habits. Unfortunately not everyone is ready to change. So with that said this post will be irrelevant for you at the moment.

"Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change." ~Tony Robins
For those that are ready, I hope this post will be the seed that will allow you to grow to uncharted territories of your human potential across every platform; health, relationships, career, happiness, spiritually, all of the above.
What we are about to recommend is not anything new we created. It has been duplicated, recreated, remastered, multiple times over. However "The Miracle Morning," by Hal Elrod by far is one of the greatest books I have ever read that put more meaning and context to all my years in observing these successful individuals.
I want to share some of these top daily habits that lead to accomplishing goals not just once but year after year. Here are top 6 things you can do that will change your life forever. SAVERS technique coined by Hal Elrod.
Silence: 10 minutes of Silence to bring your body at peace. Here are a few examples on how to approach this. It can be 10 minutes of stretching, 10 minutes of yoga, 10 minutes of praying, 10 minutes of meditation, 10 minutes of just breathing in silence and bring awareness to just your breath.
Affirmations: According to Dr. Caroline specialist in Brain and Mind Connection, "You can use your brain for you or against you based on your perception." Create yourself positive affirmations. It can be an image or sentences you can repeat every morning geared towards what you want to accomplish in life. It can be positive self talk, it can be positives for your health, positive growth in your career, or building great relationships. When you repeat them often you start to believe in them and you can pivot to start making positive changes. Self-affirmation may also help to mitigate the effects of stress.
Visualize: Create goal board, year life plan, or mark up somethings on your mirror that you want to accomplish in a year, a month, this week, or today. Make sure you see it every time you wake up. Most people say things in their heads and never write them down and they never get done. It is a wish when it is in your head but when it is written down it becomes an actual target you can hit. These will be constant reminders what actions are important in the moment that will lead you towards that goal you are trying to attain.
Exercise: There is too many benefits list down all the benefits of exercise but a few are strengthened immune system, improved energy through out the day, building strong bones, improved mood, preventing a plethora of chronic diseases, you name it. Go out for a run, do push ups, squats, sit ups or take an early morning CrossFit class ;). It really doesn't have to be much just move.
Read: Just like your muscles your brain needs to be exercised. It can be as simple as reading 10 pages or 10 minutes. The moment we leave school high school or college many do little to nothing to improve their own knowledge. Try lining up the knowledge you take with some of the goals you are trying to get closer too. There are books for entertainment, distraction, and there are those for improving a particular skill sets. Use this habit to grow the brain and not to distract it. By growing your brains connections over the course of days, months, and years you will be able to develop solutions for the major goals you are trying to achieve in life.
Script: Journal, send out an email to your team about what you learned, or write a blog. Writing these down can make some of the things you learned more concrete in your brain but writing can also bring peace and clarity to your day by just getting it all out. We often hold stresses and other experiences in our head. By putting it out on paper you are able to look at it from a different point of view which can lead to solving problems or bringing enlightenment to your experiences.
"On the one hand, we all want to be happy. On the other hand, we all know the things that make us happy. Bur we don't do those things. Why? Simple We are too busy. Too busy trying to be happy." ~Matthew Kelly
Now you are maybe asking when would I do all this? I am too busy, I have too much work, I have 5 kids, I am a single parent, I don't have any time, my genetics are holding me back, my injuries hold me back, I am too old, I am too young, I am waiting for the right moment, all excuses. We all have these excuses at one point. I had many of these as well. These excuses are energy zappers and you need that energy for something else.
The moment you take ownership of your own life and decide to no longer become a victim of everything going around you. You will have enough energy and discipline to create time for your self. When do you ask? Afternoons? After work? Do most of them in the morning if possible.
I recommend doing most of the habits in the morning because there are too many unknowables that happen in between 8am to 10pm so just make it a habit to wake up an hour earlier and try to knock out all of these habits if not most.
Give it a try for the next 30 days and let us know how it goes for you. Share some of your habits that completely changed your game we would love to hear from you.
Live happy, stay healthy, and keep moving.
Love Coach Royce
