Sun Tzu's Awesome Tips On Weight-loss

By far one of the greatest books ever written and it not only pertains to just warfare but it pertains to so many aspects in your life. Weight loss is not something that is easy to conquer but given the right strategies you easily can win this war. Here are 3 amazing weight loss tips from Sun Tzu in the Art of War.

"The greatest victory is that which requires no battle." ~ Sun Tzu

We often refer to the grueling workouts to be the battle but weight-loss is not really won there. The victory day to day towards gradually improving your nutritional habits is where this begins and ends. In the 15+ years in this health and fitness industry, the clients that have successfully lost the weight always say the same thing. Improving overall nutrition had the greatest impact when it came to weight-loss.

Don't take my word for it, listen to Episode 20: Fitness & Friends Podcast with Coach Corey and Nick who both lost over 100lbs. They both said that nutrition accounts for 80% of the work that got them there. Exercise was actually less than 20% and they both found the working out portion to be the easiest and most enjoying part of this journey.

" Every battle is won before it is fought." ~ Sun Tzu

In this I am referring to knowledge. Before attempting this challenge educate yourself as much as possible before hand by reading blogs, reading books, watching educational material online or asking for help when it comes to weight-loss. By studying the battlefield in weight-loss before hand, you will have better plans and strategies to win this war.

"In the midst of chaos there is also opportunity." ~ Sun Tzu

In every journey that results in amazing change; chaos normally reveals itself. It comes in so many different forms from pain, adversity, plateaus, frustration, distractions, unforeseen events, and sacrifice. All these forms of chaos that will appear in your journey. They will try to slow your progress down. Don't let it, in fact go through it because right on the other side is your goals. These adversities and challenges are only mile markers for where you are ultimately trying to get. Expect them to be there and you will have a better chance in winning this war on weight-loss.

Challenge your self today by starting somewhere. It can be researching, it can be taking a walk outside, it could be joining a gym, or finding a trainer. Remember sometimes war is inevitable if we want to find peace, prosperity, and happiness.

Stay positive, live healthy, and keep moving.
