1. HOW TO SET UP GOALS
Whether you’re crafting New Year’s Resolutions - or just mapping out goals for the week, month, year... the same process should be followed. You must have systems in place for all goals, work goals, life goals, crossFit goals etc.
2. WRITE YOUR GOALS DOWN
Don't just think of your goals. Physically write them down somewhere. Jot it down on a journal, write it on your mirror, or better yet on your board at home.
Make them visible, so you can see it as often as possible to remind you what goal you are chasing.
The act of writing it down makes it more concrete. Keep in mind it is only a wish if not written down.
3. BE SPECIFIC
Try not writing something vague like, " I'm going to be healthier." That is not specific at all.
If you want to loose weight establish a process it takes and make that your goal. For example, "I am going to workout 3 days a week for the month of January." It is both realistic and actionable.
4. MEASURABLE IS KEY
If there is nothing to measure it is hard to find areas on how your game plan worked or didn't work. With this specific goal in mind you can track all the days on your calendar that you workout in and get an idea on how you lost weight.
With that information you can adjust or repeat. Make some awesome goals and have your best year yet.
Live happy, live healthy, and move.
